So, I know interest rates are not in the 2's or 3's any longer, but that was pretty abnormal. Now that rates are pretty steady in the 6's and 7's, it definitely has everyone feeling a little down. But, the good thing is, you can date the rate and marry the home! There are a number of lenders that will help you refinance in the near future at little to no cost when the rates come down. The bottom line is, some people will have to move no matter what. There are some great deals out there, but you really need to be pre-approved to be competitive. Some properties are still receiving multiple offers, some are over their asking price. The first thing you should do, in my opinion, is to speak with a lender about a pre-approval letter. The lender might pre-approve you for $300,000, but you might like the monthly mortgage payment to reflect a $200,000 price range. The pre-approval will make you feel more confident on what you want to spend on a property. In turn, that will help you narrow down your search, which should bring down some stress. That's always a good thing. :) Feel free to text or call me at 417-300-2918. If you need to sell a property, I can run comps for you at no charge. I hope you have a great day and I look forward to helping you with your real estate needs.
